When I spotted this old laminate covered piece at a closing sale, the hardware caught my eye. I knew it would need Dixie Belle's Slick Stick due to the nature of the surface. If you are not going to sand, you can use 2 coats of Slick Stick, then wait 24 hours, then paint it with your favorite color of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral paint. I chose Fluff because this piece is big and needed to be flexible to fit in several of styles décor. We have our eye on a newer trend called "grandmillennial". This style combines a mix of classic lines, like this buffet, next to your Grandmother's overstuffed, floral chair. Mix textures, colors and patterns around a bold, but plain, piece of furniture to create your own unique look, while using old family heirlooms, or, even more fun, a treasure you found while thrifting.
